Guo Youheng is an artist hailing from Shijiazhuang. His practice interrogates historical and social issues across diverse contexts, with a focus on the evolution of consumer capitalism and digital technology. By unearthing imaginative and fictional fragments from modern history to inform his contemporary art work, he challenges the uneasy predicament in which the Global South is compelled to cater to Western narratives. In the face of structural racial inequality and the shifting dynamics of global power, Guo offers a response rooted in a stance of modest universalism, characterised by an increasingly open and self-assured perspective.

郭有恒是来自石家庄的艺术家。他的作品质询不同语境下的历史和社会问题，关注消费资本主义和数字技术的发展。他从近现代历史中挖掘富有想象力和虚构的片段来指导当下的实践，在不同语境中，挑战全球南方被迫向西方作出贡献的尴尬处境。特别是面对结构性种族不平等和国际地位的此消彼长，他以一种朴素的普世主义立场、更加开放和自信的态度给出自己的回应。
